Rosa Parks, Why Your Silence Says You Agree
Rosa Parks, who died yesterday, is a great example of the power of one and the spark that it could ignite. Her refusal to give up her seat to a white person was responsible for igniting the Montgomery Bus Boycott, which led to the desegregation of the bus system. Although this happened a little less than 50 years ago and much has changed since then, it is sad that we are still fighting for human rights. And what's even more disturbing is that many of us are still being looked down upon amongst our own race for simply being attracted to the same sex.

When Looking at the Mirror Distracts One's Attention From the Problem
I would like to take a moment to publicly apologize to Cleo and the members of the Black Men's Xchange (BMX) for the recent smear campaign crafted against them and the blatant ignorance of their inclusion in the MMM by the National Black Justice Coalition (NBJC). Although I'm not a member of either organization, I know in my heart that we are all capable of getting along for the same cause of improving our community as a whole. I simply think that they (NBJC) forgot that the "B" in their name stood for BLACK. That's all. :)

Noah's Arc - The Series Premiere
Be sure to catch the series premiere of Noah's Arc, the first black gay series on cable television, TONIGHT at 10PM EST on LOGO. I had the pleasure of seeing the show at a recent premiere party over the weekend and I must say that I was very impressed. Like many, I was exposed to the series a year ago during pride in Atlanta and you can really tell the difference in production. It's amazing what we can do with money if its used properly. Congrats Patrick, keep doing the damn thang!
