A Lesson We Can Learn From Malcolm X
Today marks the 81st birthday of Civil Rights Activist Malcolm X, whom I've always admired for his promotion of black consciousness, pride and self-help. These are the very things that I try to promote in our community. Although Malcolm never receives the praise and appreciation that he deserves, his impact on society will always be present for a leader is best when people barely know he exists, when his work is done, his aim fulfilled, they will say: we did it ourselves.
